We are delighted to announce a double promotion. Congratulations to Emily Wardrope and Will Mumford who have become joint Heads of Department for Private Client services at Coole Bevis.
Emily Wardrope joined the firm as a Solicitor in the Private Client department in February 2016. Her promotion recognises the outstanding quality of her legal work, her innate client-focussed approach, commercial acumen, and ongoing commitment to business growth.
Whilst Will Mumford only joined the firm in October 2025, he has already proved himself an invaluable asset. Will’s promotion recognises his extensive experience in estate planning and trust management, his specialist expertise in cross-border matters, and his strong people management skills.
Both Emily and Will are renowned for helping clients navigate complex legal and financial matters with confidence and compassion.
The firm’s decision to appoint two heads is due to the rapid growth of the department and increased geographical spread.
Jenny Murphy, LLP Member and previous Head of Private Client services, will now focus on managing Court of Protection matters, covering Teresa Pender-Stratford’s maternity leave. Jenny holds many prestigious accreditations and is responsible for the firm’s current Private Client Legal 500 ranking. Jenny was recently reappointed to the Panel of Deputies by the Office of Public Guardian, reflecting her professionalism and commitment to protecting vulnerable clients.
