SS&P joins Coole Bevis
On 30ᵗʰ September 2026, Stevens Son & Pope (SS&P) became part of Coole Bevis LLP. Coole Bevis is Sussex’s leading law firm, with offices in Brighton, Hove, Horsham, Worthing, and now Burgess Hill.
Coole Bevis, like SS&P, has a long history of building lasting client relationships. Formed in 2016 through the merger of two reputable Sussex practices, Woolley Bevis Diplock and Coole & Haddock, our roots stretch back to the late nineteenth century.
We are recognised by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 for providing tailored, expert legal advice. We take pride in helping our clients make informed decisions and navigate important stages of their personal and professional lives.

Safe storage of legal documents
Yvonne and Chris will stay in Burgess Hill and will continue to provide the friendly, professional service for which they are renowned. The team will move to new offices at 36-38 Church Road in early 2027.
Important documents previously stored with SS&P will remain available to clients on request. These include Wills, LPAs, and deeds, as well as probate documents passed to SS&P by Whetham & Green when the firm closed in March 2026.
